Calima Energy is on the home straight now with its “Leo” series of three oil wells in Canada that the company has just commenced fracture stimulating ahead of planned flow testing at the end of October.

“The fracture stimulation portion of the Leo program has begun. The pumpers are rigged in and we are pumping. The three wells will be pumped back-to-back, and if all goes well, we will be finished pumping by the weekend,” says CEO.

CEO Jordan Kevol said the oil and gas shows in all three Leo wells were “as good or better than expected” as the company prepares for a fracture stimulation program in October.

With the high commodity prices and its strong production, Calima could accelerate further its investment program to grow production between the 5.5 mboe/day by year-end 2022.

Calima owns 60,000 acres of drilling rights in the Montney Formation, a major source of natural gas and oil covering some 130,000 square kilometres in western Canada.

Calima Energy says its four new oil wells drilled in Canada have now been operational for 30 days and have hit its “risked budgeted number range”. The company says it managed to drill each well in just under seven days.

Perth based ASX-listed Calima Energy has increased its oil revenues in Canada by 20 per cent.

Average daily production at its Canadian properties increased by 408 barrels of oil equivalent while monthly revenue was up A$800,000 to A$4.9 million.

The energy stock’s reserves estimate marks its maiden proved, probable and possible (3P) evaluation, totalling 27.5 million barrels of oil equivalent.
